Lucknow: Priyanka Maurya, a member of the State Women Commission, reported to the Krishnanagar police station after receiving prank calls from unidentified individuals asking for her personal information. According to her complaint, the callers pretended to be the personal assistants of the chief minister's principal secretary and the DM of Unnao. Priyanka believes that the opposition is behind these calls in an attempt to defame her. An FIR has been filed, and an investigation is underway. Priyanka first received a call on September 9 at her residence in LDA Colony on Kanpur Road, with the caller claiming to be the PA of the DM of Unnao. Another call was received on September 30, with the caller posing as the PA of the chief minister's principal secretary and requesting personal information for a supposed important responsibility. Priyanka took the matter seriously and reported it to the police, where an FIR was lodged. DCP South Zone, Keshav Kumar, mentioned that an investigation is ongoing.
